Team Bath staged a dramatic late rally to seal a thrilling 47-44 Superleague win over Surrey Storm on Super Saturday.
The opening day of the season produced a dramatic encounter, which saw Bath overturn a 10-goal deficit in the closing 15 minutes to inflict defeat on the reigning champions.
Jo Vann, Mia Ritchie and Claire Brownie all worked tirelessly in the mid-court and began to fire in the final quarter to feed the ever-reliable Asha Francis at goal-attack and goal-shooter Chelsea Lewis.
Bath's player of the match Karla Mostert said: "The girls had such great spirit and were fighting back goal by goal.
"To be honest, we have had a game plan from the very beginning of the season and in the second half today we just stuck to it. Earlier, there were too many unforced errors."
Earlier in the night, new coach Dan Ryan started his spell in charge of Manchester Thunder with a 59-37 win over Team Northumbria.
After a close opening half, Manchester dominated the final two quarters to clinch the 22-goal win.
