Cleveland Cavaliers centre Tristan Thompson has been fined $15k (£11,700) for swearing at fans after Monday's victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
The NBA announced on Thursday it would be fining the player for the middle-finger gesture made towards hecklers at the end of the Cavs' 99-97 victory at the Barclays Center.
During the game, Thompson scored 19 points, had 14 rebounds and successfully defended Nets' Spencer Dinwiddie's three-point attempt to win the game at the buzzer.
Cleveland are 5-19 for the season and sit 13th in the Eastern Conference. They face the Sacramento Kings in the early hours on Friday morning.
