NXT Champion Finn Balor's next title challenger is still to be determined after Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe drew a No 1 contender's bout.
Zayn and Joe were placed in the contest after submitting Baron Corbin a few weeks ago but there was no splitting the pair again on Wednesday night with Zayn's shoulders on the mat as he pinned Joe.
Elsewhere, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady joined forces with Chad Gable and Jason Jordan to defeat NXT Tag Team Champions Dash and Dawson as well as Blake and Murphy in an eight-man scuffle.
Plus, Asuka bested Deonna Purrazzo and Alex Riley lost to Tye Dillinger.
