Nia Jax is delighted that her recent Raw storyline with Enzo Amore has allowed her true character to present itself to the audience.

Jax has been presented as an unstoppable - and often silent - monster in her time on the WWE main roster after playing a similar character in NXT.

That is, until her recent 'mutual crush' storyline with Enzo Amore, which has led to a huge crowd reaction and has even seen Jax cheered by some Monday Night Raw audiences.

"It's great because nobody has really seen this side of Nia Jax," she told Sky Sports. "She has a crush and you usually see Nia coming out and beating up all the girls and having this really strong tone to her.

"But now there's this other side where she does have a bit of a vulnerable side to her. She's smiling, she's talking, she's ditching her friend to go and give her man some soup.

"So it's cool. I've really enjoyed it and I think it's great. It's extremely rewarding. Not that you let fans get to you, but I was hearing fans say Nia is boring, she doesn't talk and I'm thinking, no, Nia has a lot to her.

"It's just that in the past she hasn't really had a chance to show all of those different sides to her."

Jax believes Amore's natural charisma and mic ability has made it easier for her to make the subtle changes to her own character, and says he has been a joy to work with.

"Enzo is quite the character, he's a sweet guy and I really like working with him," he said. "I've know him since the NXT days and we've always got along.

"He's always been very nice to me and very respectful. He's hilarious. He really makes me laugh and it's easy for me to do things with him because he's so funny."
