Fans go nuts after one of the most memorable RAW finishes in years

Chris Jericho and Edge re-joined Team WWE after their Tag Team Match against John Cena and Bret "Hit Man" Hart erupted in chaos. With just six days remaining until SummerSlam, Team WWE finally managed to put their differences aside and became a rock solid unit intent on defeating The Nexus this Sunday. Monday Night's much anticipated main event pitted fiercest enemies as John Cena and Bret Hart faced down against Edge and Chris Jericho in a battle of current Team WWE members against two Superstars who had left the squad high and dry. Adding to the tension, the seven members of The Nexus were stationed outside the ring as "lumberjacks".

Punishment

During the bout, The Nexus simply couldn't help themselves. The seven deadly sinners inflicted punishment on both Edge and Jericho at ringside and were intent on continuing their path of destruction as they slithered into the ring to confront Cena and the "Hit Man". Confident they had the two where they wanted them, the numbers game tightened when John Morrison and R-Truth sprinted to the ring to help their fellow Team WWE members. Then after a period of reflection, Jericho and Edge, who looked to be exiting the arena, had a change of heart and hit the ring to rejoin Team WWE. In one of the most memorable finishes to RAW in years, the two teams then squared off in the ring - a climax to the show which sent fans inside the arena and watching around the world, nuts! After exchanging blows, The Nexus fled into the crowd as Team WWE held the ring. Just what can we expect this Sunday at SummerSlam? Earlier in the evening, The Great Khali had challenged Wade Barrett to a match. Before the bout could take place, however, The Nexus ambushed The Punjabi Giant, clubbing his knee in the process. WWE medical staff have now determined that The Great Khali suffered patella and ligament damage and is unlikely to compete at this Sunday's SummerSlam event. Will Team WWE be able to seek a worthy replacement? Fresh from a televised interview this past week with Sky Sports News, Irishman Sheamus called out his SummerSlam opponent Randy Orton.
Email
As the two fierce competitors jawed back and forth, the anonymous Raw General Manager emailed in. Through his spokesman, announcer Michael Cole, the GM stipulated that were any Superstar to interfere in the match at SummerSlam, they would be suspended indefinitely. The GM also encouraged the Irishman to retaliate against The Viper's claim that he's actually scared of him. A melee ensued between the two, and when the dust had settled, it was Orton who had bested his rival. Although The Viper could have punted Sheamus in the skull, he chose not to and instead, actually handed the WWE Championship to the dazed Irishman.
