Darts stars handed bans after misconduct at PDC events.

Andy Jenkins and Jason Clark have both been handed one-year bans, with nine months suspended, by the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) for misconduct at PDC events. Jenkins was handed a 12-month ban, with nine months suspended, after his behaviour at the German Darts Championship back in December. 'Rocky' was given his ban from February 15, meaning he can return to the oche again from May 14, when he is due to head to America to make his comeback at the PDC US Open in Connecticut. Jenkins will now have to tread carefully as if he is found guilty of another offence by the DRA before February 14, 2009, he would be in hot water once again and facing an even longer ban. Clark, who has also been fined £500, has been handed his ban as a result of his conduct at the PDC Annual Awards Dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London in January. The 'Cockney Jock' has had his ban backdated to January 10, meaning he can compete again on April 10, although his suspended sentence will be reviewed every three months by the DRA until the start of 2009. Clark will also have to watch his conduct at PDC events upon his return to avoid the further wrath of the DRA. The bans are hoped to have sent a message out to all the players on the PDC circuit that they must watch their conduct at all events, both on and off the oche.
