Drone Racing League: Fire City on Sky Sports Mix
Last Updated: 13/11/16 1:48pm
The latest all-action drama of the Drone Racing League comes to Sky Sports Mix on Friday and Monday, with a British pilot at the fore.
After Miami Lights, LA Pocalypse and Project Manhattan, the DRL steps up a gear with Level Four pitting the world's best drone pilots against a new generation as they race through the original tech start-up: Bell Labs.
Friday night at 9pm, Mix will give you the chance to see episode one of Fire City and the second part will be on Monday at the same time as the DRL heads towards its thrilling conclusion at the Ohio Crash Site.
And St Helen's very-own YeahLad makes his introduction as we get to the British pilot making a name for himself in the DRL - hit play on the video at the top of the page to hear from the man himself.
The DRL is a futuristic racing phenomenon, which sees quad-copter drones reach speeds of up to 120mph as skilled pilots guide them through three-dimensional courses, and this week it was confirmed that the finale of the 2017 season would be coming to Britain at Alexandra Palace.

The DRL is the global leader of First Person View (FPV) drone racing, which features elite pilots each flying a custom-designed, hand-built drone through complex, thematic, three-dimensional racecourses that have been compared to a real-life video game.
Race names such as 'Moke', 'Furadi' and 'Zoomas' are given to the DRL pilots, while their personal race equipment is given titles such as 'Hovership Zuul SuperBeast' or 'RotorX Atom & Dronewolf Pup'.
The DRL media team creates and continues to innovate a custom-designed broadcast and race infrastructure to capture the fast, close-proximity racing.
Sky has invested $1m in the Drone Racing League (DRL) and has agreed to a distribution deal that will see the thrilling world of elite drone racing come to the newly launched Sky Sports Mix channel.
In addition to Sky's investment, Sky Sports has completed a distribution partnership with the DRL to bring live events and broadcast content to the UK and Ireland.
Airing as 10 one-hour episodes, the DRL season covers five races - including a winner-take-all world championship to crown the best drone pilot.
Sky Sports Mix will provide an introduction to the sport for millions of Sky customers at no extra cost, with live sports every day.
Sky Sports and DRL will also team up with London & Partners to bring an official DRL race, the first professional drone race in the UK, to an iconic venue in London.
