Teenager Dina Asher-Smith has set a new British record for the 100 metres, by running 11.02 seconds at the FBK Games in the Netherlands.
The 19-year-old from Orpington finished second in her race behind Dafne Schippers who ran 10.94s and which was a Dutch record.
Asher-Smith’s performance shaved three-hundredths off the previous British record, which was held by Montell Douglas and registered in Loughborough seven years ago.
And behind Asher-Smith was fellow Brit Asha Philip who posted a personal best of 11.10s in finishing third.
Elsewhere, Britain’s Chijindu Ujah won the men's 100m in 10.09, while compatriot Adam Gemili was third in 10.19.
Christine Ohuruogu, who hopes to defend her World Championship title this summer, was almost three seconds off her personal best in finishing second in the women’s 400m.
Ohuruogu clocked 52.27 behind Ukrainian winner Olha Zemlyak who crossed the line in 52.13. Britain’s Anyika Onuora (52.35) was third.
Laura Muir was second in the 3,000m, running 8:38.47 behind Kenyan Irene Jelagat who set a world-best time for the year of 8:36.90.
