Matt Hardy insists WrestleMania XXV will be a career-defining moment for every wrestler involved.

One half of the Hardys cannot wait for Sunday's showpiece

Matt Hardy insists WrestleMania XXV will be a career-defining moment for every wrestler involved. Hardy joined the WWE full-time in 1998 as a Tag Team specialist with his younger brother Jeff, but the high-flying duo had to wait until 2000 before making their 'Mania debuts. They did so in spectacular fashion, laying it all on the line in a Triangle Ladder Match with the Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian that was a true highlight of the event in Anaheim. As he prepares to do battle with his sibling in an eagerly anticipated Extreme Rules Match on 'The Grandest Stage Of Them All' this Sunday, Hardy still says he feels privileged to be performing at the very highest level. "WrestleMania is the, capital T.H.E, the event. It's a SuperBowl, it's a World Series - it is actually bigger than all of those," Hardy told Sky Sports News. "We go all year, we don't have a season. You work all year to be on WrestleMania, to perform on WrestleMania and hopefully win on WrestleMania. "To know that you have made it in this business, the biggest statement you can make is to say you have been on a WrestleMania in a highlight. "That means you have made it, you have truly, truly made it in this business." While competition for the championships might be dominating the headlines ahead of the main event in Houston, Texas, the Hardys' match is sure to prove a major highlight come Sunday.
