A video clip of basketball coaching great Geno Auriemma talking about athletes' body language has gone viral a year after it was broadcast.

Auriemma, coach of the women's basketball team at the University of Connecticut, was speaking at the 2016 Final Four when the topic of body language, and how important it is in his recruitment process, came up.

The 63-year-old is one of the leading coaches across all of sport, having guided the Huskies to 11 NCAA Division One titles since 1995, including the last four.

His team are currently at the Sweet 16 stage of the 2017 tournament, and will play UCLA on Saturday as they look to extend a 109-game winning streak dating back to November 2014.

He also coached the United States women's basketball team to gold medals in Sydney in 2000, at London 2012 and in Rio de Janeiro last summer.

Auriemma has never been afraid to make tough decisions with elite athletes, including benching superstar Breanna Stewart during her Huskies career because she was "acting like a 12-year-old."

His comments from last year were viewed more than 24 million times in less than a day earlier this week after originally being posted by professional baseball coach Matt Lisle on Facebook, where it was also shared more than 500,000 times.
