The Cleveland Cavaliers drew level with the Chicago Bulls at the top of the Eastern Conference's Central Division after beating Atlantic Division leaders the Toronto Raptors 120-112 in Wednesday's NBA action.

Cavs talisman LeBron James led the way with 29 points and 14 assists, and he was ably assisted by Kyrie Irving's 26-point match haul.

The Raptors were led by Lou Williams and Jonas Valanciunas, who both scored 26 points, while DeMar DeRozan managed 25 points for the Canadian side.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had Russell Westbrook to thank for a 123-118 result against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The point guard set career highs with 49 points and 16 rebounds, and added 10 assists for his fourth consecutive triple-double.

Southwest Division leaders the Memphis Grizzlies required a Marc Gasol jump-shot with 0.1 seconds remaining to overcome the Houston Rockets 102-100.

Northwest Division table-toppers the Portland Trail Blazers picked up their fourth win in a row, but needed overtime to record a 98-93 win against the Los Angeles Clippers, for whom Chris Paul scored 36 points.

The game was tied at 87-all after four quarters but Portland, led by LaMarcus Aldridge's 29 points, outscored their opponents 11-6 in overtime to emerge victorious.

Tyler Zeller was Boston's last-gasp hero as his lay-up shot at the death gave the Celtics an 85-84 triumph against the Utah Jazz.

The New York Knicks' recent revival appears over as 21 points from George Hill helped the Indiana Pacers to a 105-82 victory.

The Charlotte Hornets secured their third consecutive win by earning a 115-91 victory against the Brooklyn Nets.

Twenty-eight points and seven assists from Brandon Knight inspired the Phoenix Suns to a 105-100 triumph against the Orlando Magic.

Anthony Davis was in inspired form, scoring 39 points to guide the New Orleans Pelicans to an 88-85 win against the Detroit Pistons.

The Minnesota Timberwolves slumped to their fifth loss in a row as 18 points and 14 rebounds from Kenneth Faried gave the Denver Nuggets a 100-85 win - their second victory in as many games since sacking coach Brian Shaw.

Dwyane Wade scored 25 points and Hassan Whiteside grabbed 25 rebounds as the Miami Heat were 100-94 victors against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The San Antonio Spurs extended their winning streak to three games with a 112-85 triumph against the Sacramento Kings, while the Golden State Warriors were 102-93 victors against the Milwaukee Bucks.
