The former coach of banned British sprinter Bernice Wilson, George Skafidas, has been suspended after being charged with anti-doping rule violations.
Wilson was given a four-year ban for testing positive for two anabolic steroids in 2011, and UK Athletics has now confirmed Skafidas has been provisionally suspended from participating in athletics.
A UKA statement said: "The individual now has the opportunity to respond to the charges against him including the right to a full hearing of the case."
Wilson competed for Great Britain at the European Indoor Championships in Paris in March 2011 before failing a drugs test three months later.
The anti-doping tribunal which ruled on Wilson mentioned in its final decision the possibility that she had drunk a contaminated drink given to her by Skafidas.
However, it said the Greek coach, who was representing his athlete at the hearing, and Wilson both stated this argument would not form part of her defence.
Skafidas was banned from holding a UKA coach license for five years in 2013.
