Ahead of the 41st Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National, we asked passionate golfer Jamie Redknapp to take us through his favourite memories and moments in the competition...
First memory of the Ryder Cup
I have been watching it for a long time but it feels like since Sky have taken over the coverage it has grabbed everyone's attention. But the Battle of Brookline in 1999 was probably the first time when I went "wow, this is amazing and great to watch".
Favourite moment
When Graeme McDowell held his nerve to win back the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor and the images of everyone swarming onto the green in celebration. That was a really iconic moment.
Favourite player
I think we are really going to miss Ian Poulter this year. I love Poults, especially when it comes around to the Ryder Cup.
How about a six-foot putt to win the Ryder Cup?
I would love to have the opportunity but even thinking about it now makes my palm sweat!
Prediction for this week
I think it's going to be a tough one, the tightest one in a long time. I look at that American team and wonder, with all the rookies we have, whether they might have a bit too much for us. I hope I am wrong.
