It is one year ago since Europe continued their dominance of the Ryder Cup with a convincing victory over Tom Watson's USA at Gleneagles.
Paul McGinley's side went into the singles armed with a commanding 10-6 lead, and Rory McIlroy set the tone for the final day when he powered to a crushing 5&4 win over Rickie Fowler.
Graeme McDowell staged a remarkable fightback to get the better of rookie Jordan Spieth in the top match and, after Martin Kaymer saw off Bubba Watson, the only question was who would secure the winning point for Europe?
The answer was provided emphatically by Jamie Donaldson. Four up with four to play against Keegan Bradley, the Welshman closed out the match-clincher with a stunning 146-yard wedge to gimme range at the 15th.
