The USA are set to announce their captain for the 2018 Ryder Cup on Wednesday, with Jim Furyk widely reported to be given the role.
A press conference will be held at 1pm Eastern time (6pm GMT), where Davis Love III's successor is expected to be named.
Furyk is in pole position to take charge at Le Golf National, having featured in nine consecutive Ryder Cups as a player before assisting Love in the 17-11 victory at Hazeltine last autumn.
The 46-year-old was one of five vice-captains to Love in Minnesota, where the USA claimed a first victory since 2008 and only their second Ryder Cup of the 21st century.
Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker were also in Love's backroom team, with the pair both considered as potential future Ryder Cup captains.
Woods said in October he "would be honoured" to skipper the USA if ever picked, while Stricker has previously been considered the favourite for the 2020 tournament in his home state of Wisconsin.
Former Masters champion Fred Couples is another contender, having played in five Ryder Cups and also guided the USA to three Presidents Cup titles as a captain.
The successful candidate will have the task of trying to lead the USA to their first win on away soil since they last successfully defended the trophy in 1993.
