South Africa's Shaun Norris claimed his second DP World Tour title coming from behind to win the Alfred Dunhill Championship on home soil by a single shot.

Norris, 42, followed up his 2022 win at the Steyn Championship despite starting six shots off the pace, charging through the field with an eagle and five birdies in the final round.

Only a double-bogey on the seventh spoiled his card as he became the clubhouse leader at 13 under par.

Several players could have overhauled him, but the notoriously challenging closing stretch at the Leopard Creek Country Club saw them fall away.

Norris' nearest challenger at the end was compatriot Ryan van Velzen in the closing group who headed to the 18th tee level with Norris.

The 22-year-old found the water with his approach at the last, though, and his bogey at the end handed Norris a single-shot win.

Norris also tasted victory at the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup in Japan two weeks ago and he said: "I'm very happy that it worked out this way.
