The 14-time major champion has not played since February after undergoing back surgery for the fourth time in three years but will make his comeback as a member of the elite 18-man field for the invitation tournament he hosts in Albany.
The PGA Tour's official Instagram posted a video of Woods on Monday evening making his way around the course in anticipation of his comeback.
The 41-year-old featured at last year's tournament, finishing 15th in a 17-man strong field after scoring four over par.
Woods has previously won the tournament on five occasions, most recently in 2011, ending the competition on 15-under ahead of runner-up Zach Johnson.
Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson, Henrik Stenson and Kevin Chappell are also set to line up in the event.
