Jon Rahm and Dustin Johnson wowed the fans at Austin Country Club as their mammoth drives at the 12th added up to a combined 862 yards in the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play final.
Rahm had the honour at the 578-yard par-five having one two of the previous three holes to get back to three down against the world No 1, and he set the benchmark when he launched his ball a colossal 438 yards to leave himself a mere flick with a wedge for his second.
Sky Sports on-course commentator Wayne Riley wagered that Johnson would hammer his drive past the Spaniard's ball, but Rich Beem was having none of it in the commentary box.
And it was Beemer who was proved right as Johnson's ball pulled up 14 yards shorter than Rahm's, travelling "only" 424 yards, although the top seed would have the last laugh as he made birdie and Rahm missed from five feet for the half.
Rahm has hit three of the top six longest drives of the tournament at the 12th, but Marc Leishman topped the charts with a whopping 444-yard blow on the second day, just pipping Paul Casey's mark of 442 yards. Wow!
