Nick Dougherty won the nearest-the-pin showdown with Simon Holmes on Thursday. Can Simon gain revenge on Scottsdale's 17th?

Nick Dougherty has enjoyed a successful week in the Shot Centre against Simon Holmes and Henni Zuel, but could he stay undefeated on the 17th at TPC Scottsdale?

Dougherty was a convincing winner of Thursday's nearest the pin challenge against Holmes as they played the infamous par-three 16th during a break in coverage of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

The three-time European Tour winner then saw off the challenge of Henni on day two, and the Shot Centre screen switched to the driveable par-four 17th for the final round as our presenters attempted to set up the best chance for birdie.

Simon opted to take the more cautious approach as he teed up a five-wood, hoping to avoid the fairway traps and the water on the left to leave a smooth wedge to the pin.

But Nick played the aggressor, whipping the headcover off his driver as he aimed to take the bunkers out of play and chase his ball up towards the front of the green, although threatening the pin was an unlikely option at 340 yards.
