Tim Barter managed to get an insight of how the players feel during their round as he spoke to both Alex Noren and Anthony Wall en route to the 12th tee

Sky's innovative golf coverage continued to set the standards as Paul Lawrie Match Play contenders Alex Noren and Anthony Wall were interviewed live during play.

On-course supremo Tim Barter caught up with both players after they had holed out on the 11th green during Saturday afternoon's semi-finals at Archerfield Link.

Noren, who is bidding to complete an impressive double in Scotland having won the Scottish Open title last month, was in good spirits after making a superb birdie four which restored his three-hole lead over James Morrison, who had won the ninth and 10th.

Wall was in the middle of a tight tussle with fellow Englishman Oliver Fisher, but he was happy to give some rare mid-round insight to the viewers when approached by Tim armed with a microphone.

Sky Sports created a world first for live golf coverage back in October when Nick Dougherty was interviewed by the commentary team during the first two rounds of the British Masters at Woburn.
