Miguel Angel Jimenez feels his game is heading back in the right direction as he looks to build on his recent form at this week's Volvo China Open.
The Spaniard dropped outside of the world's top 100 after missing the cut in his opening three European Tour events this season, but heads to Beijing with a strong record and multiple victories in the Far East.
A much-improved tied-13th finish at last week's Shenzhen International follows victory earlier this month on the Champions Tour, with the 52-year-old now targeting a similar display at Topwin Golf and GC.
"My game is good," Jimenez told a pre-tournament press conference. "I had a struggle in the last few months but I'm starting to feel better on the greens.
"I have a bit more confidence now and my putter has started working again and the stroke is coming back. I feel good and I hope I can give myself a chance to compete at the weekend.
"I will keep competing here (on the European Tour) as much as I can, as long as I'm playing well. If that stops happening, I will say goodbye."
Jimenez tees off alongside Tommy Fleetwood and defending champion Wu Ashun for the opening two rounds, while top seed Bernd Wiesberger features in a threeball with Haotong Li and Kristoffer Broberg.
Ashun made history on home soil last year by become the first Chinese winner of a European Tour event, with the 30-year-old now looking to become the tournament's first back-to-back champion.
"I will remember that moment forever," Ashun said when looking back at last year's win. "It was the best moment of my career, to get my first win on the European Tour. I feel very confident this week.
"The greens are difficult here. I will grasp the putting on these greens though, it's very important for me. I will also try my best to put the ball in the right places on the green."
