"There's still one more day and 18 more holes," Shin said. "I heard there is going to be some bad weather tomorrow, so I don't know what will happen.

"It will probably be shorter because of the rain and the cold. I'm just going to go in with an open mind and try my best."

Kim, chasing a second win of the season, looked set to challenge for the outright lead after opening her back nine with three gains in a four-hole stretch, but the Korean was unable to pick up further birdies over the closing stretch.

Angela Stanford heads in to the final round two adrift alongside Sun-Ju Ahn and Pornanong Phatlum thanks to a four-under 68, while world No 4 Lexi Thompson is a further two strokes off the pace.

"It was a good day," Stanford said. "I still hit some good putts, but I think I hit the ball a little better today. Maybe not as close as yesterday, but more solidly.

"I'm happy to have an opportunity to maybe win tomorrow. It will be a lot of fun. I haven't been in this position much this year so I'm excited about it.

"There are a lot of birdies to be made and I just have to come out tomorrow and try to make the most."
