Solheim Cup 2026: Angela Stanford names Megan Khang, Rose Zhang and Lindy Duncan as captain's picks, as Team USA squad confirmed

Megan Khang, Rose Zhang and Lindy Duncan have been named as Angela Stanford's three captains' picks for next month's Solheim Cup, as Team USA's full 12-player squad was officially finalised on Monday.
Following this weekend's CPKC Women's Open, Andrea Lee and Alison Lee also both earned qualifying spots for Team USA via the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings.
They will join Nelly Korda, Angel Yin, Jennifer Kupcho, Yealimi Noh, Auston Kim, Lauren Coughlin and Allisen Corpuz, who all qualified automatically for the tournament via the Solheim Cup points list.

Anna Nordqvist confirmed her four captain's picks earlier in August, with both sides now set to face off at Bernardus Golf in The Netherlands on September 11, and all three tournament days will be shown live on Sky Sports Golf.
Duncan, 35, and Kim, 26, are the only two rookies in Stanford's squad for September's tournament. Duncan is also the second-oldest Solheim Cup debutant since Nancy Scranton, who made her first Solheim Cup appearance in 2000, aged 39.
"It's been so much fun," Stanford told The Golf Channel when asked what the process of making her selections was like.
"Of course, we had our tough times, and it's about getting down to the moment that we have to tell people they did not make it. But we expected that, and I absolutely love the 12 players we have.
"We are ready to get to the Netherlands and represent the Red, White & Blue."
Experienced Solheim Cup players Lilia Vu, who has struggled with her form this season, and Lexi Thompson, who is expecting her first baby early next year, have both also missed out.
Lucy Li and Jenny Bae had also been in the running to feature but also missed out, having both missed the cut at this weekend's CPKC Women's Open.
Stanford's captain's picks
Khang brings a ton of experience to Team USA, with the 28-year-old having played in four Solheim Cups.
She played a pivotal role in helping Team USA defeat Team Europe at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in 2024, with Khang going undefeated, taking home a record of 3-0-0.
"When I got the call from Angela, I sat there for a little bit, and she was like: 'Are you going to smile?'" Khang said.
"I was shocked by it, and it's super cool to be picked. Once you play in one, you don't want to miss one and I can't wait to get to Bernardus Golf."
Zhang has featured in two Solheim Cups in 2023 and again in 2024, and, similar to Khang, she took home a perfect record of 4-0-0 in the 2024 event.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a fine season on the LPGA Tour, making three top-10 finishes in 14 starts, and placed tied-eighth at The Standard Portland Classic last week.
"It was easy for me to include Rose," Stanford said. "Rose, she's been successful on different levels, and at each one, she's been a winner."
Duncan has enjoyed an excellent two years on the LPGA Tour, secured 14 top-25 finishes, notably placing tied-second at the 2025 Chevron Championship.
"It's pretty amazing to think about some of the times I've been through a couple of years ago," Duncan said. "I wouldn't have believed it if you had told me. I felt pretty close to stepping away from the game for a while.
"To have persevered through some tough times and have played well to make this team, it's truly an honour.
"It was always a dream and felt really far away for a long time. To have made it feels really incredible."
Who else features for Team USA?
Andrea Lee, who is set to feature in her third Solheim Cup, booked her place as the highest-ranked American player in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings not to qualify for the tournament via Team USA's Solheim Cup points list.
She has represented Team USA twice, booking her spot as an automatic qualifier on both occasions, and boasts a 3-2-2 record, notably pairing with Zhang in 2024 to claim two impressive foursome victories.
Alison Lee will also play in her third Solheim Cup, having enjoyed wins with Team USA at the 2015 and 2024 events.
The 31-year-old holds a record of 2-5-0 across seven matches and returns to compete at this year's event after becoming a mum last year.
She has enjoyed an excellent season on the LPGA Tour, which has included three top-five finishes, placing tied-third at both the Mizuho Americas Open and Dow Championship.
Meanwhile, world No 1 Korda tops the list of names who have qualified via the Solheim Cup points list, with the American having won four times this season, including her victory at The Chevron Championship in April and her US Open triumph in June.
"I'm really proud of Nelly because she has really grown into this," Stanford said.
"Just her demeanour and her calmness. She carries the weight of our tour quite a bit. She has grown into that, and I'm very proud of her."
Yin and Kupcho also return to Team USA, and both will play in their fourth Solheim Cups.
Noh, who finished third at the AIG Women's Open, ranked fourth on Team USA's Solheim Cup points list, while Kim will make her debut at the event.
Coughlin and Corpuz make up the final two players who qualified for Team USA automatically.
