Brandt Snedeker stormed to his first European Tour title on Sunday with a nine-shot triumph at the Fiji International.
The 35-year-old headed into his final round at Natadola Bay Golf Club with a three-shot cushion and posted a four-under 68 to surge clear of the field on his way to a 16-under total in an event co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia.
Snedeker, fresh from winning three points from three to help the United States secure Ryder Cup glory at Hazeltine last week, had four birdies on the front nine and added another on 17, with a bogey at the par-four 10th the only blot on his copybook.
Michael Hendry finished second on seven under after a 72, with his New Zealand compatriot Brad Shilton (69) and Australian trio Andrew Evans (71), Matthew Giles (74) and Anthony Houston (75) tied for third a further stroke back.
And following his success the American has now set his sights on adding a major to his Ryder Cup success and maiden European Tour win.
"This is going to help me do that, handling a big lead the way I did, to know I can handle whatever a golf course throws at me against the best players in the world and come out on top," Snedeker said.
"The main focus is to get ready to go and be excited about it.
"It's been a pretty good two weeks. I was joking earlier I might add another tournament next week.
"It's been an unbelievable run. To play the way I have has been really fun."
