York fought out a 0-0 draw with Plymouth despite playing 70 minutes of the game with 10 men following Stephane Zubar's red card.
Zubar received his marching orders in the 20th minute when he thrust his head into the face of Plymouth defender Peter Hartley. The latter seemed to react in similar fashion but escaped with a booking. Despite their numerical disadvantage, York had the best chance of the half in stoppage time when Luke Summerfield's free-kick was parried by Luke McCormick but Jake Hyde, following up, shot straight at the visiting keeper. York were also the stronger side after the interval with Hyde going close with three opportunities just after the hour mark. Summerfield was also denied by a great one-on-one stop by McCormick after bursting through the right channel. Plymouth's only genuine second-half opportunity saw Lewis Alessandra header pushed away by home keeper Alex Cisak.
