Daniel Carr won Mansfield a point in a 1-1 draw at struggling York on his full debut for the Nottinghamshire outfit.
The on-loan Huddersfield forward struck just past the hour to cancel out Diego De Girolamo's first-half strike for the Minstermen, who have still only won one match this season.
Earlier, Rakish Bingham went close for Mansfield on the quarter-hour mark when he drove across the face of on-loan home keeper Alex Cisak's goal.
But it was the hosts that forged in front on 20 minutes following a mistake by Stags goalkeeper Sascha Studer.
The Swiss shot-stopper could only scuff a clearance as far as York captain Russell Penn. He then burst into the penalty box before crossing low for De Giorolamo to find Studer's bottom right-hand corner from four yards following a smart turn.
Mansfield drew level on 62 minutes when Vadaine Oliver won a far-post header and Carr was on hand to volley past an exposed Cisak from six yards.
York responded with a De Girolamo effort that was brilliantly saved by Studer and a deflected Michael Coulson edge-of-the-box strike that narrowly missed the top corner but Carr also twice went close to snatching a winning goal late on.
