Minstermen advance into next round
Richard Brodie was the York hero as the Blue Square Premier side scored twice in the final five minutes to record a 3-2 FA Cup upset over League Two Crewe.
Brodie netted York's third in the 88th minute, shortly after Richard Pacquette had equalised for Martin Foyle's men.
Crewe had been cruising into the second round as goals from Joel Grant and Calvin Zola either side of Brodie's first effort had seen them take a 2-1 lead into the break.
However, the home side continued to push forward after the break and, following a succession of corners, debutant Pacquette stabbed in the equaliser following Craig Nelthorpe's corner
And Brodie lit up Bootham Crescent soon after to send the Minstermen into the second round.
