Goalkeeping heroics from Jed Steer helped Yeovil edge off the foot of the table after a goalless draw against Coventry.
As the goals flew in elsewhere around League One, the two sides struggling at the wrong end of the table mustered just two shots on target between them in a dire first half. Yeovil's most potent attack osaw Alex Smith drag wide when he struck left-footed from Seth Twumasi's cross on 38 minutes. Having been a virtual bystander to the action in the first 50 minutes Glovers keeper Steer - on loan from Aston Villa - found himself facing a penalty when Twumasi was adjudged to have knocked over Frank Nouble. Gary Madine stepped up, struck it towards the bottom left corner and Steer at full stretch superbly tipped it around the post. Yeovil used the save as a catalyst and carved opportunities for loanees Jamar Loza and Liam Shephard. The hosts had their own calls for a spot-kick when Ajay Leitch-Smith claimed to have been shoved as he was lining up to pull the trigger. The result gave Yeovil their second clean sheet in as many home games as they look to close the gap to safety.
