Accrington midfielder Piero Mingoia saw a late effort ruled out for offside as Wycombe claimed a vital 0-0 draw.
Wycombe, who moved a point clear of the drop zone after Torquay's clash against Bury was postponed, were thankful to see the linesman's flag raised with six minutes to go. Wanderers' Dean Morgan tried an ambitious lob from 35 yards in the fifth minute but it sailed well over the crossbar. And in a period of play typical of the opening half, Accrington top scorer Peter Murphy skewed a half-volley from 20 yards wide and out of the stadium on the half hour. The first shot on target of the second half came in the 56th minute when Reece Styche curled a 25-yard shot towards the top corner, but Accrington keeper Marcus Bettinelli tipped the effort round the post. Stanley substitute Lee Molyneux then fired a left-footed shot over the bar before Mingoia was denied late on.
