Toulouse's search for a Ligue 1 win continues after they were held 1-1 at home by a Nantes side who finished the match with 10 men. It is now seven matches since Toulouse last tasted victory, and while there is clearly no sign of panic from a club who handed coach Alain Casanova a new contract this week, it is no doubt a concerning run as they headed into the summer. They were on the back foot early on in this one as Oswaldo Vizcarrondo headed home Olivier Veigneau's ninth minute free-kick, but levelled through Wissam Ben Yedder in the 67th minute. A red card for Nantes' Papy Mison Djilobodji, who clashed with Ben Yedder after his goal, opened the door for Toulouse but they could not push through with Mihai Roman's spectacular overhead kick coming back off the crossbar 11 minutes from time. Vizcarrondo's goal came from the first real attack of an opening half short on goalmouth action. Toulouse did not muster a response until the 38th minute when Adrien Regattin fired narrowly wide, with Martin Braithwaite then missing a good opportunity when one-on-one with former Toulouse goalkeeper Remy Riou, who got the upper hand just before half-time. There was more life to the match in the second half. Zacharie Boucher got in a crucial block to deny Nantes' Alejandro Bedoya while at the other end Riou blocked a powerful shot from Oscar Trejo before palming away Ben Yedder's snap-shot. Serge Gapke had a great chance for Nantes on the hour mark but Boucher punched clear. Toulouse found their equaliser in the 67th minute when a fine pass from Pavle Ninkov picked out Ben Yedder in space and could take a touch before applying the finish. Ben Yedder grabbed the ball to try and return it the centre spot but got into a tussle with Djilobodji who appeared to catch him with an elbow, earning a yellow card. However, Toulouse could not take advantage, with Roman's acrobatic overhead kick coming back off the crossbar 11 minutes from time.
