Prolific Robin on target again with two-goal salvo
A Simon Cox penalty double and an early strike by Hal Robson-Kanu earned Swindon a 3-0 win over Southend to end their six-match winless run.
Danny Wilson's side scored twice in the opening 18 minutes and then clinched their first win in over a month late on to climb out of the bottom four.
Reading loan-man Robson-Kanu, who had spent two spells on loan with Southend, fired Swindon into a 13th-minute lead after catching the visitors on the break.
Five minutes later Swindon stretched their lead from the penalty spot.
Billy Paynter was fouled from behind before Simon Cox drilled his first penalty of the match into the bottom corner.
And two minutes from the end of normal time Michael Timlin was sent sprawling in the box and Cox scored his second penalty of the match to seal the win.
