O'Grady scores twice in romp over Shrewsbury
Rochdale extended their lead to seven points at the top of League Two with a 4-0 win over Shrewsbury at Spotland.
In the only game in the division to survive the weather, Keith Hill's side took full advantage of their rivals' enforced rest with a stylish display to record their sixth successive victory.
The hosts were ahead eight minutes in when Tom Kennedy's corner was flicked on by Joe Thompson and Craig Dawson muscled his way through a packed six-yard area to blast home from close range.
Chris O'Grady doubled the advantage after 38 minutes, collecting Chris Dagnall's cut back and volleying into the corner of the goal from the edge of the box.
Dawson headed his second goal eight minutes into the second half, powering home another Kennedy corner to all but wrap up the result.
O'Grady added his second from close range in the 67th minute to inflict more woe on the sorry Shrews.
