Bordeaux missed the chance to move into Ligue 1's top three as they were held to a goalless draw at lowly Reims. The visitors had their chances, with Kossi Agassa making several decent saves and Yoan Gouffran volleying just wide late on. But Reims actually had the better opportunities as Floyd Ayite hit the crossbar and Florent Ghisolfi forced a superb save from Cedric Carrasso. Ayite was first to threaten when he ran onto Johann Ramare's pass but saw his shot deflected away by Carlos Henrique. Bordeaux were on top for the rest of the first half, with Jaroslav Plasil central to their best work, but Benoit Tremoulinas' shot was cleared by Aissa Mandi and Agassa denied Gouffran. Reims came out firing after the break but Carrasso thwarted Ghisolfi with the save of the afternoon. Agassa saved from Mariano but Ayite set up Diego Rigonato to volley over and then went closest of anyone to breaking the deadlock. Kamel Ghilas delivered a pinpoint pass from deep which Ayite met with a fierce right-foot volley, but the ball crashed back off the bar to safety. Bordeaux substitute Gregory Sertic threatened from 30 yards but was denied by a good low save from Agassa. And Gouffran went close with 10 minutes remaining after seizing on a weak clearance, but his shot flashed just wide and the game finished goalless. The result leaves Reims a point above the relegation zone.
