Harry Panayiotou scored the winner as Raith Rovers secured a 1-0 victory over Hibernian at Stark's Park in the first leg of their Scottish Premiership play-off quarter-final.
The on-loan Leicester City forward headed in a Louis Longridge cross with 15 minutes remaining to hand Raith a slender advantage ahead of Saturday's second leg at Easter Road.
Hibs were in control for large periods of the match, but lacked a cutting edge and were made to rue a first-half miss from Jason Cummings.
The win stretches Raith's unbeaten run to 12 matches and will certainly give them plenty encouragement as they look to book their place in the semi-finals.
Stranraer claimed an emphatic 5-2 victory over Livingston in the first leg of their Scottish Championship semi-final at Stair Park.
Jordan White (10) gave Livingston the perfect start, but goals from Mark McGuigan (14), Andy Stirling (17) and Willie Gibson (40) ensured Stranraer went in at half-time with a commanding lead.
Livingston forward Liam Buchanan (68) briefly reduced the deficit before McGuigan (70) and Gibson (80) completed a comfortable win for Stranraer.
Elsewhere, Chris Duggan scored in each half to secure a 2-0 victory for Queen's Park over Cowdenbeath in the first leg of their Scottish League One play-off semi-final.
The on-loan Partick Thistle forward opened the scoring inside the first minute at Hampden Park before wrapping up the win for his side from the penalty spot (66).
