Richie Marquez scored in stoppage time as the Philadelphia Union snatched a 1-0 win over DC United on Friday night and moved to the top of the Eastern Conference.
The match appeared to be heading for a stalemate after Sebastian Le Toux wasted a great chance on the rebound for the Union in the 51st minute and United's Alvaro Saborio saw an overhead kick turned away by Andre Blake.
But after the 90 minutes were up, Le Toux crossed for Marquez to score his first MLS goal and steal the points.
The win sees Philadelphia move above New York City at the top of the standings, one point clear and still with a game in hand.
