Oxford came from behind to beat Bury 2-1 at the Kassam Stadium thanks to Tyrone Barnett's 90th-minute winner.
Danny Mayor's decisive finish in the 63rd minute gave the Shakers the lead, but six minutes later Craig Jones turned Danny Hylton's low cross into his own net to bring Oxford level. The contest looked like finishing as a draw, but with 20 seconds of normal time remaining, debutant Wes Burns broke forward quickly on the break, and sent over a pinpoint cross for Barnett to head in his fourth goal in three games. In the first half the excellent Hylton was close to winning a penalty. Referee Stephen Martin adjudged though that Tom Soares had fouled him a foot outside the box, and then only booked Soares although it looked as though he had denied a goalscoring opportunity. Bury went close from a free-kick in first-half stoppage time as Andrew Tutte curled his effort over the wall, and against the top of the bar. The introduction of Ryan Lowe at half time gave visitors more threat. Lowe shot across the face of the goal before Hallam Hope was denied by a brilliant save from Ryan Clarke. Oxford could not get the ball away, and Mayor lashed it home from 12 yards. But the U's hit back dramatically late on to snatch the three points.
