Premier League: Danny Ings says Burnley must learn from defensive mistakes
Sunday 8 February 2015 15:15, UK
Danny Ings was left disappointed as Burnley squandered a 2-0 lead for the second time in three games as West Brom fought back for a 2-2 draw at Turf Moor.
Ashley Barnes and Ings put the hosts ahead before Chris Brunt pulled one back for West Brom on the stroke of half-time and second-half substitute Brown Ideye equalised after 67 minutes.
The result leaves West Brom three points clear of the danger zone, while Burnley, who lost 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace after being 2-0 up in their previous home game, moved out of the bottom three.
Ings said: "It's just a lack of concentration from set-pieces that we need to improve on. It's very disappointing from ourselves today, considering we started the game so well.
"It's football and in this league you can't get away with that and we were punished for it."

The fixture list does not look kind for Sean Dyche's men over the next two months with matches against Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal to come.
Ings' strike partner Barnes admitted this was a missed opportunity to pull further clear of trouble.
He said: "It's a massive feeling like a defeat. We worked so hard to go in front, to go 2-0 up. It's happened in the last three games now and we can't put a finger on it. It's just disappointing from our point of view.
"Reflecting on the result, it's another three points lost really - a point gained - but you need every point in this league to stay up and hopefully we can do that.
"We show that we can just keep going - you look at the stats and that's all we do, just keep going and hopefully it can save us."
