Reds facing battle for Dutchman
Mark van Bommel's agent claims Liverpool have made an enquiry for the Bayern Munich midfielder, but that better offers have been made for the Dutchman.
The tough-tackling midfielder has been strongly linked with a move away from Bayern this month with his contract set to expire in the summer and Van Bommel unlikely to sign a new deal.
Tottenham, AC Milan and Wolfsburg have all been credited with an interest in the 33-year-old with the former PSV Eindhoven star weighing up his options.
Van Bommel's agent Mino Raiola admits he is aware of Liverpool's interest in the player, but revealed there is competition for his signature.
Interest
"I know about Liverpool's interest, but other offers are currently more interesting," Raiola told
Bild.
"I cannot guarantee 100% that he will stay (with Bayern), but there is no rush with negotiations - I just have to do a good job.
"I have got to find Mark the perfect club and we still have enough time for that."
Van Bommel admits he is unsure over his future at Bayern and is leaving it up to his agent.
"You never know what the future brings," Van Bommel said.
"I am concentrating on Bayern while my agent takes care of all the rest."
