Fairclough: I expected more

Barnet's temporary manager Paul Fairclough admits his first game back in charge was a massive learning curve.
Fairclough was given the task of overlooking first-team affairs for the third time following the sacking of Mark Stimson and certainly expected more from his players after a 4-2 defeat to Stevenage. "It was a real baptism of fire. I did expect a little more than we gave, to be honest," he told the Times. "We will never know how good or bad the team is because at 4-0, teams take their foot off the accelerator."
