Rovers bounce back in style following dismal Toffees display
Lars Jacobsen believes Blackburn showed commendable 'character' in their weekend victory over Aston Villa.
The Rovers players have incurred the wrath of manager Sam Allardyce following a lacklustre showing in a 3-0 defeat to Everton in their last outing.
However, they responded in style against Villa as they recovered from going a goal down to secure a 2-1 success at Ewood Park.
Rovers also had Vince Grella dismissed against Martin O'Neill's men, but saw David Dunn's late penalty hand them all three points.
"Even though we had a bad game last weekend, we came back to Ewood Park and showed there's some character in this team," said Danish full-back Jacobsen.
"I hope we are on the way forward now."
Meanwhile, Saturday's hero Dunn has paid tribute to the efforts of Grella over recent weeks, as he prepares to serve a suspension.
"Vince is important to us and a very good footballer, he has a lot of composure," the talented midfielder told Rovers Player.
"The last couple of games he has been one of our top players."
