Former stars linked with Swansea returns
Adebayo Akinfenwa has refused to rule out the prospect of joining former club Swansea City.
The Swans are looking to bolster their striking options and reports in South Wales suggest that Paulo Sousa is lining up a deal for former pair Akinfenwa and Lee Trundle.
Akinfenwa, 27, made over 70 appearances for The Swans during a two-year spell from 2005 to 2007.
He then moved to Millwall before joining Northampton, and he could now be back on his way to The Liberty Stadium.
Akinfenwa accepts that he along with fellow prized asset Danny Jackman could depart the Sixfields.
"Players come and go," he said.
"Danny Jackman has been one of our best players over the last few years so losing him can only make us a weaker side.
"But if a good club comes in for you then sometimes it is time to move on and we wish Danny all the best for the future.
"You never know what can happen before the transfer deadline but when I play for Northampton I try and give my all."
