Skysports.com looks at the summer's transfer bargains

Former Norwich star Ian Henderson is considering a move abroad as he looks to find himself a new club. Henderson, who is a free agent after leaving Luton at the end of last season, is currently training with Super Lig side Ankaragucu ahead of a potential move to Turkey. The 24-year-old has decided to take up the opportunity to win a move to Turkey, after waiting on offers to come in from England. A move to Turkey could see Henderson join fellow Englishman Darius Vassell at Ankaragucu, with the former Manchester City and England international also considering a move to the ambitious club. Henderson, who won a First Division championship medal in the 2003/04 season with Norwich, admits the chance to win a move to Turkey's top flight was an opportunity too good to turn down.

Offer

"The offer to come out to Ankaragucu came about from my partner's father who is Turkish and he helped set it up," Henderson told skysports.com. "I have been over here a couple of days and training has gone well. "Everyone at the club has made me feel very welcome and although only three or four of the players speak English everyone has been really nice to me. "I think the offer came at the right time as there was not much happening in England and I said to myself I did not want to regret not taking this chance to come to Turkey. "There have been a few clubs sniffing around in England, but there was nothing set in stone so I jumped at the chance to come to Turkey."
Ambitious
Henderson is happy with how the trial has gone so far and he would seriously consider a move to the Turkish club if they made him an offer. "I will do my best while I am out here and I am hoping it all goes well," added Henderson. "The Ankaragucu manager has told me I have fitted in well and he feels I have a good tactical brain. "Ankaragucu are an ambitious club and I think they have shown that in that they are trying to sign Darius Vassell. "The manager wants us to pass the ball and play like Arsenal and that is something that would be attractive to any player. "Being a free agent it is the first time I have been out of football in my life and I am raring to go again." We'd like to hear your thoughts on the best free transfers out there.
