Diego Milito has completed his move to Inter from Genoa in one of a number of deals between the clubs.

Argentine striker set to be joined at San Siro by former team-mate

Diego Milito completed his move to Inter Milan from Genoa on Monday in one of a number of transfers expected to go through between the two clubs. The 30-year-old scored 24 goals in his debut season in Serie A last term helping guide surprise package Genoa to a Europa League spot. The Argentine striker has penned a four-year deal with the Nerazzurri while the fee remains undisclosed. Milito should be joined at the San Siro by former Genoa team-mate Thiago Motta with the Brazilian midfielder expected to move in the next few days. Italy Under-21 striker Robert Acquafresca, who spent last season on loan at Cagliari, will join Genoa as part of the Motta deal but is expected to be immediately loaned out to Atalanta. Genoa are also close to signing Inter striker Herman Crespo and Atalanta frontman Sergio Floccari. Inter boss Jose Mourinho is also hopeful the club can tie up the transfers of Chelsea pair Deco and Ricardo Carvalho as he bids to seriously challenge for the UEFA Champions League next season. Meanwhile Julio Cruz looks set to depart the Milan club with Fiorentina supposedly interested while midfielder Patrick Vieira could return to France.
