Defender joins Orient from Tranmere
Ben Chorley has revealed that the ambition of Leyton Orient manager Geraint Jones helped seal his move to Brisbane Road.
The former Tranmere defender, who leaves Prenton Park after two years on Merseyside, has opted to return to the capital having started his career with Arsenal.
And it was Williams' vision for the League One club which persuaded Chorley to move back to London.
"There was a bit of interest in me and it seems as if I've spent most of the last few weeks on the phone, but the thing that really sold the club to me was the manager," said the 26-year-old defender.
"It seems like a club on the up and everyone in the division noticed the improvement once the new manager came in halfway through last season.
"He really sold the club to me and it's good to be coming back down to London too. I'm really looking forward to helping Leyton Orient push on next season."
