Highly-rated youngsters offered professional contracts

Bradford City have offered professional deals to two of their highly-rated young prospects Louis Horne and Rory Carson. Utility player Horne, 17, broke into the reserves when he was only 15 and has been a regular since. His impressive performances with the Bantams' second string have not gone unnoticed by a number of club scouts and earlier this year he had a loan spell at Blue Square Premier side Barrow. Bradford boss Stuart McCall decided to involve the left-footed youngster with the first team squad and he was given squad number 31 before the turn of the year. Meanwhile, Belfast-born 18-year-old midfielder Carson, who has also been a regular in the Bantams reserve side, has been offered a one-year deal which follows on from his involvement with the Northern Irish Under 18 set-up last year. Bradford's youth set-up continues to produce some fine young prospects, with Horne and Carson following in the recent footsteps of Fabien Delph now with neighbours Leeds, Andre Wisdom at Liverpool and Tom Cleverley at Manchester United.
