Striker plans to sign contract extension with Bundesliga side
Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko has quelled rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal.
Reports of interest in the forward were ignited after Gunners first-team coach Boro Primorac confirmed the club were monitoring his progress.
Wolfsburg, though, are keen to retain the 22-year-old's services, and Dzeko himself has stated that he plans to sign a new deal at Volkswagen Arena.
Dzeko told Kicker: "I am ready for an extension of my current contract. I am feeling well being at Wolfsburg and VfL are definitely my first choice."
Bosnia-Herzegovina international Dzeko has been in fine form in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 13 goals, and he has also impressed in the German Cup and the Uefa Cup.
