Brighton have Craig Davies back in the squad to face Northampton, who will check on two players.

Davies available for Seagulls, double concern for Cobblers

Brighton & Hove Albion have Craig Davies back in the squad to face Northampton Town, who will make late checks on two players. Davies missed Saturday's impressive 1-0 win at Millwall due to a virus, but returned to training on Monday to put himself back in contention. However, with only one training session under his belt, Davies may be kept on the bench for the game at the Withdean Stadium. The Seagulls will again be without midfielder David Livermore as he serves the second game of a three-match ban following a red card during last week's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Luton. Calvin Andrew remains sidelined with a hamstring injury while Glenn Murray and Kerry Mayo underwent an intense session on Monday as they continue their rehabilitation from hernia surgery. Dean White and Bob Booker will continue to take charge of first-team affairs following Saturday's departure of Micky Adams, who left the club by mutual consent.

Northampton news

Giles Coke and Danny Jackman will be assessed by Northampton manager Stuart Gray ahead of kick-off on the South Coast. Midfielder Coke picked up a knock during Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home by Walsall while Jackman missed training on Monday due to illness. Gray is eager for both players to be involved against Brighton and will leave it until the 'last minute' before making a decision. The Cobblers remain without Luke Guttridge, who is sidelined with a knee injury, while Liam Davis is also still out as he recovers from a hernia operation. On-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler made his debut against the Saddlers and is expected to keep his place ahead of Chris Dunn.
