Giovanni Dos Santos has vowed to stay at Tottenham amid reports linking him with a move to Lyon.
The French giants are thought to be keen on the Mexican schemer, who as yet has failed to show his true colours since joining Spurs in the summer from Barcelona.
Dos Santos' arrival was heralded as a real coup on the part of then manager Juande Ramos and his pre-season form suggested Spurs had landed a player of considerable talent.
However, he has since been beset by injuries and it has been suggested Harry Redknapp could be ready to offload him in a deal that would see Lyon striker Fred move to North London.
Giovanni, though, insists he has every intention of proving himself in the Premier League.
"I have never spoken to Lyon and I would like to stay at Tottenham, because ever since I have come to the club I have not had any luck," he said in the Daily Mirror.
"I am young, ambitious and I want to stay and succeed in England."
