Midfielder impresses since joining last summer

Crystal Palace have extended midfielder John Oster's contract until the end of the season. Oster joined Palace on an initial six-month deal last summer after he was released by Championship rivals Reading. He trained at Derby County before joining Palace and has impressed during his time with Neil Warnock's side. The 30-year-old has scored three goals in 19 appearances and was reported to have been offered an 18-month contract. However, Palace have confirmed that the former Everton and Sunderland man has accepted a deal to see out the rest of this season at Selhurst Park.
