Defender pens new two-year contract

Ben Turner has signed a new two-year deal with Coventry to keep him at the Ricoh Arena until 2011. The defender has come through the youth ranks at Coventry and previously had loan spells with Peterborough and Oldham. He has established himself as a regular in the Sky Blues side this season and chairman Ray Ranson is thrilled to be keeping him. "We're obviously delighted that Ben has signed a new deal with us," Ranson told the club's official website. "He has fought back admirably from a long-term injury in the summer and his involvement in the starting line-up of late is a fitting reward. "We're very happy to have retained his services over the next two years as we see young players like himself as part of the future that we are trying to build at the club."
